Following a referral from NHS111, our pharmacy team can help with a range of conditions including:
- Acne
- Athlete’s foot
- Backache, earache or headache
- Diarrhoea, constipation or haemorrhoids (piles)
- Cough pain, nasal congestion and sore throat
- Emergency Hormonal Contraception
- Hay fever, eczema and allergies
- Head lice and threadworms
- Indigestion
- Mouth ulcers or cold sores
- Period pain and thrush
- UTI
- Warts and verrucae
Once you have been referred our team will be in touch to arrange a clinical assessment with you. With our help, you can make the most informed decision possible. Our pharmacists will discuss all the available treatment options with you and will even signpost you to other services if they think that would be in your best interest.

How It Works
The NHS Pharmacy First Service offers patients the option of having a face-to-face or remote consultation with a pharmacist following an initial assessment by an NHS 111 call advisor. This call advisor will then be able to refer you to our pharmacy for your consultation.
Pharmacy First Service For Water Infections
In appropriate circumstances we can make a three day supply of antibiotics. Click on the Water Infection Consultation or ring us directly.
Pharmacy First Service For Sore Throats
For the more resistant cases of throat infections that require antibiotics to shift.
Pharmacy First Service For Sinus Infections
If appropriate we can supply a prescription strength steroid spray or antibiotics
Pharmacy First Service For Insect or Spider Bites

Pharmacy First Service For Impetigo
This contagious skin infection should be treated as soon as possible to prevent it spreading to family and friends.
Pharmacy First Service For Minor Ailments
